Bec Lorrimer is a fashion, portrait and beauty photographer. Her work is renowned for capturing the authentic spirit and energy of her subjects, while maintaining an elevated aesthetic true to fashion sensibility. Her signature is to work with natural light, allowing her to craft engaging images that are refined yet approachable.
Since moving to New York City in 2012, Bec’s portfolio features an impressive international client list, including Uniqlo, Calvin Klein, Madewell, Tommy Hilfiger, Mecca Cosmetica, Seafolly, Cotton On, Nordstrom, and Sydney Theatre Company. Her editorial work features regularly in high-end magazines, including W Magazine, Porter Magazine, Elle US, Allure, Vogue Spain, Vogue Australia, as well as independent art publications such as The Last Magazine, i-D Australia and Primary Paper.
Bec studied filmmaking at the University of Technology, Sydney, and worked in cinematography before photography. Her time in New York saw her develop a strong aesthetic in the world of print, alongside some of the world’s most respected fashion photographers. She now works seamlessly between the two mediums.
Bec is drawn to strong, confident women in her practice and she regularly works around themes of youth, motherhood and the evolving identity of women. Representing a diverse cross-section of talent and advocating for healthy images of women in media are key to her professional values.
She is currently working on a personal portrait and motion series exploring young women and the implications of social media on identity and body image. Bec also lends her skills to creative direction for beauty and lifestyle brands.
